MMOexp ARC Raiders: Expedition Cosmetics Will Continue
Because of this, many players now believe Expedition 4 may be the first major testing ground for ARC Raiders Coins the revamped progression system.
What Could Actually Change?
Right now, there are two major possibilities.
1. Expedition Challenges Could Be Reworked
The first possibility is that Embark adjusts how expedition objectives function altogether.
This could include:
Lower resource submission requirements
Reduced grind for crafting provisions
Easier progression through project pages
More combat-focused objectives instead of pure stash value goals
The developers clearly understand that some players view expeditions as stressful or overly demanding, especially after wipes. A less punishing structure could encourage more consistent participation without exhausting the player base.
There is also a chance that future expeditions move entirely toward activity-based challenges rather than economic requirements.
Instead of hoarding wealth, players might focus on combat, extraction milestones, ARC kills, or seasonal objectives.
2. Skill Points May Finally Be Removed
The second - and potentially much bigger - possibility involves expedition rewards themselves.
For months, players have wondered whether extra skill points would eventually become problematic for game balance. Longtime players continuously stacking permanent bonuses could create unfair advantages over newer Raiders.
Interestingly, Embark has already hinted at this concern publicly.
Back in January, design director Virgil Watkins explained that skill points were never intended to remain the permanent expedition reward forever. According to Watkins, the system was always expected to reach a cap before transitioning to something else.
That cap may be approaching quickly.
Currently, players can earn up to 16 additional skill points through expeditions. Many believe Expedition 4 could be the final season rewarding them before Embark introduces an entirely new incentive structure.
If Skill Points Disappear, What Replaces Them?
That remains the biggest mystery.
Embark has already confirmed that additional cosmetics, XP boosts, and progression rewards are coming, but players are now wondering what future endgame incentives could look like.
One possibility involves the upcoming Trader system.
The new trader feature is expected to allow players to preserve or carry over certain valuable items between expeditions, effectively softening the impact of seasonal wipes. If implemented correctly, that system alone could become a massive long-term reward structure for dedicated players.
Instead of chasing permanent stat bonuses, players may eventually focus on:
Rare cosmetic collections
Exclusive crafting materials
Expanded stash systems
Persistent item preservation
Seasonal unlocks
Prestige rewards
That would allow Embark to reward experienced players without creating major gameplay balance issues.
Expedition Cosmetics Will Continue
One important detail many players may not realize is that expedition cosmetics are not permanently missable.
The current Patchwork cosmetic set, for example, progresses based on individual completion history rather than global timing. If a player completed only two expeditions while others completed three, they can still unlock the missing rewards later by ARC Raiders BluePrints buy finishing future expeditions.
