Writers’ Guild of Great Britain: Jack Thorne Elected
Jack Thorne has been elected president of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, taking up the role immediately after today’s AGM.\n
He succeeds Sandi Toksvig, who stepped down after serving the maximum six-year term — a period that covered the pandemic, the US writers’ strike and the rise of artificial intelligence as an industry flashpoint.\n
